Veto foreign data centers
To: Gov. Braun
From: A verified voter in Kouts, IN
March 29
I am writing as a concerned Indiana resident to strongly urge you to veto Indiana Senate Enrolled Act 431 (2025). This legislation would allow foreign adversaries of the United States to build data centers on our soil, posing a direct threat to our national security and critical infrastructure.
In an era of escalating cyber threats and geopolitical tensions, it is reckless to permit entities from hostile nations to establish a foothold in Indiana’s digital and energy landscape. Data centers house sensitive information and play a crucial role in our economy and national defense. Allowing adversarial nations access to such infrastructure puts Hoosiers and the entire country at risk.
Protecting Indiana from foreign influence in critical industries should be a top priority. By vetoing this bill, you can take a strong stand in defense of our state’s security, sovereignty, and long-term stability. I urge you to act decisively and prevent this dangerous legislation from becoming law.
I appreciate your leadership and look forward to your response on this critical issue.
