Eliminating IDR options would impose severe financial hardship on hardworking borrowers who planned their budgets around these repayment terms. Congress must safeguard IDR plans to uphold the commitment made to student loan holders and prevent undue economic strain. Affordable repayment through income-based plans is vital for borrowers' financial stability.
