Your Joke of a Town Hall
To: Rep. McClain
From: A constituent in Independence, MI
March 11
I am disappointed to learn that you held a virtual town hall as opposed to an in-person one. I imagine this due to direction from the party to stop holding in-person meetings. What it communicates to us is that you are spineless and afraid to actually face your constituents. In case you forgot, it is your JOB to engage with us to be sure you are representing our interests. Not cherry picking questions from constituents you are familiar with. Although you may try to spin this as "deranged" actors being paid to show up and protest, I am sure you know that is not the truth. And if you believe that, you're delusional. Your constituents are ANGRY. You are NOT representing us. You are capitulating to this corrupt administration, and for what? To save yourself? For more money? More power? At the expense of hardworking Americans who pay our taxes and just want to live our lives with appropriate healthcare, education, environmental safety, and human rights. You should be ashamed of yourself for throwing us under the bus so you can provide tax cuts to the wealthiest 1%. That was not a town hall, it was a scripted play so you could control the narrative. Quit blaming others and take some accountability. We don't believe a word that comes out of your mouth.
