It is crucial that we defend and expand voting rights to ensure equal access and representation for all citizens in our democracy. The President's recent executive order attempting to restrict voting access raises severe legal and constitutional concerns. This order seeks to impose restrictive requirements like proof of citizenship for voter registration and limiting mail-in voting, which could disenfranchise millions of eligible voters. These measures appear to violate the constitutional authority granting states the power to administer elections. Furthermore, they perpetuate the false narrative of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election which has been thoroughly debunked. We must vehemently oppose any efforts that undermine our fundamental right to vote and demand federal policies that make voting more accessible and secure for every American. Protecting and strengthening our democratic processes should be a top priority.
