As an American Jew who has lived in Israel, I am disgusted at the introduction of AB 1468. I have seen first hand the impact the Israeli government have on Arabs. Whether it is the way the government destroys Bedouins homes, create militarized checkpoints and are aggressive in reviewing Arabs. I have seen this conflict first hand and it deserves to be addressed, seen, and educated on. The Israeli Palestinian conflict is an Important geo political issue of our time. It is not antisemitic to discuss this issue. Conflating this state with Jews is a far more dangerous thing and I cannot believe the Jewish caucus is attempting to do that in my religions name. Refusing to allow folks to teach is censorship. It does not make any of us safer. It in fact is the very thing that Trump is attempting to do On other issues. I urge you to vote no on this bill. This bill suppresses free speech. And makes no one safer. Our safety only comes in building a better world for all of us.
