I am writing to urge you to take a strong stand in protecting and strengthening the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Humans have already dealt an enormous blow to the Earth. We have devastated forests, polluted the oceans, and allowed our air and water to become dangerously toxic. Many American cities have undrinkable water, and microplastics are invading our bodies and brains. Without a strong EPA, we risk further irreversible damage to our planet, our communities, and future generations.
The EPA plays a critical role in ensuring that corporations and industries are held accountable for their environmental impact. It enforces regulations that keep our air breathable, our water clean, and our ecosystems intact. Weakening or defunding the EPA would not only be reckless but would endanger the health and well-being of millions of Americans.
I urge you to oppose any efforts to diminish the EPA’s authority, funding, or ability to enforce environmental laws. Instead, we need stronger protections, stricter regulations on polluters, and increased investment in clean energy solutions. Climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss are not partisan issues—they affect us all.
Please do everything in your power to protect what little nature we have left. The consequences of inaction will be devastating, and history will remember the choices made today.
I look forward to your response and to seeing your commitment to environmental protection reflected in your actions.
