A report by Senate Democrats projects that over 600,000 Ohioans could lose their Medicaid coverage if Congress ends the COVID-19 public health emergency declaration. This drastic measure would strip healthcare from some of the most vulnerable members of our communities. Every American deserves access to affordable, quality healthcare. Congress must reject any efforts to cut Medicaid coverage that would leave hundreds of thousands of Ohioans without this vital support. Protecting Medicaid strengthens our state and upholds our shared values of compassion and human dignity.
