I went to elementary, middle, and high school in Ohio. I thoroughly enjoyed my education in my tiny towns, loved Frankfort and West Milton educators and personnel. And yet today I find out that the Education Department laid off “nearly 50 percent” of its more than 4,100 employees Tuesday evening, according to four sources inside the agency who were told about the plans and an agency news release. WHY. WHY ARE YOU ALLOWING THE CUTTING OF EDUCATION. Our democracy is at stake and you want LESS resources for our students and our teachers and our schools? The children are our future! They are our responsibility. Shame! How will you keep Ohio teachers, schools, and kiddos safe and resourced amidst these cuts? Keep Musk and Trump out of our future!
