You and your colleagues in Congress and the White House have no right to take from the very people who’ve contributed to this program for years, just to pad the pockets of billionaires or corporations. Social Security is a promise made to the American people, and it is a sacred obligation you should not be allowed to break. This isn’t about political games or trying to balance the budget on the backs of working-class Americans. This is about basic fairness. The richest among us—those who benefit from tax breaks, offshore accounts, and loopholes—are already thriving off the system, while average citizens are left scrambling. Instead of cutting Social Security, how about holding the wealthiest people in this country accountable and ensuring they pay their fair share? Do not rob hard-working Americans of what’s rightfully theirs. Social Security is a contract, not an option for future tinkering. We will not stand for any attempts to diminish or dismantle it. Any cuts would be a betrayal to the millions who rely on it every single day. I demand that you stop any efforts to undermine Social Security, and that you protect and strengthen it for future generations. Do not let billionaires and big corporations have more at our expense. You work for the people, not the wealthy elite.
