Reject harmful budget plan favoring ultra-wealthy over people
To: Sen. Gallego, Sen. Kelly

The new Senate budget plan undermines long-standing procedural rules by bypassing input from the Senate Parliamentarian who enforces budget reconciliation requirements. This is a blatant attempt to push through permanent tax cuts for the wealthy while making devastating cuts to Medicare and Medicaid that jeopardize the health and financial security of millions of Americans. These draconian cuts to vital social safety net programs cannot be justified, especially to finance additional tax breaks for billionaires and corporations who have already significantly benefited from the 2017 tax law changes. I urge you to reject this fiscally irresponsible and morally reprehensible budget resolution that prioritizes the greed of the ultra-rich over the wellbeing of ordinary citizens. Vote No and stand up for procedural integrity and the people you were elected to serve.
