The Department of Education plays a vital role in shaping our nation's education system and ensuring equal access to quality education for all students. Its elimination would have far-reaching consequences, depriving millions of children and families of essential resources and support. My husband is a teacher and we are terrified of what the loss of the Department of Education would mean for us. We must safeguard this crucial agency and prioritize investing in education, the foundation of a thriving society and a skilled workforce. Cutting funding or dismantling the Department would undermine our commitment to providing every child with the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. I urge you to take a stand against any efforts to weaken or dismantle the Department of Education and instead work towards strengthening and adequately funding this essential institution.
