Voting to censure Al Green was unconscionable. We do not need “radical civility,” we need representatives that will stand in the way of tyranny and fascism. Sitting quietly and holding a sign ain’t it. In fact, it was a pathetic display of inaction. This is not politics as usual, and if you continue pretending it is, then you may as well hand Trump our democracy on a platter. You should take a note from Al Green instead of lying down to let the tyrants walk over you.
