Oppose H.R. 22, the SAVE Act when it comes up for a vote.
To: Rep. Simpson
From: A constituent in Declo, ID
March 31
Oppose H.R. 22, the SAVE Act, which will create unnecessary barriers to voter registration and disenfranchise countless voters, especially women, seniors, and low-income citizens. This bill is designed to block voters despite no real evidence of widespread fraud. Rep Simpson must vote against it. The misinformation that there will be no infringement on married women voting is incorrect. There already are plenty of barriers to make voting difficult and if the Representative truly cared about voting systems there would be meaningful work to improve voting systems instead of focusing on things that will only hinder more people from voting. Work to make polling places more accessible to voters, work to ensure working constituents have the ability to vote by mail if they have mobility issues, encourage constituents to vote early or extend the polling hours. There isn’t any proof of increased voter fraud so this bill isn’t going to help only hurt. Your constituents need you to vote no. Thank you for your time and consideration.
