It has occurred to me that Trump's DOGE run by Musk has not been authorized by Congress. The claim is that the DOGE is a Cabinet level office which would require creation of that department BY CONGRESS as stated in the US Constitution ArtII.S2.C2.3.6. Trump's DOGE is not a legal entity by this standard, and can not legally act to access confidential government information and records or direct any government official to hire or fire any government employees. In his "cost saving" activities Trump, through Musk, is in the process of crippling vital functions of the federal government. The FAA, for example, needs *more* employees in several positions vital to air traffic safety - commercial and private. suicides. The Veterans Administration is unable to serve veterans at the levels they deserve resulting in poor qualities of health and suicides. When the VA moved their 24 hour hotline employees to remote work, they were able to staff their positions and serve more vets more effectively. Telling them they must move into offices inappropriate for their mission will result in a disastrous decline in their effectiveness and an increased loss of our veterans to suicide and mental health problems. The problem will also be exaggerated by the loss of employees who are not able to "return to the office" due to their own health and/or safety issues. Trump is having a heyday reprise of his "reality" TV show "You're Fired" through Musk and his DOGE. Please put a stop to this and don't let Trump hide behind Musk and claim "it wasn't me".
