This legislation encroaches on the rights of individuals to make personal healthcare decisions, threatening the wellbeing of transgender Texans of all ages. In addition to the severe impacts on mental health and increased suicide risk for those denied gender-affirming care, HB 3399 represents an alarming overreach of government control into the private medical choices of citizens. No one's bodily autonomy should be legislated against or denied based on state ideology. I urge you to reject this harmful bill that jeopardizes both health outcomes and personal freedoms.
