This week, the present administration announced that coal plants could start dumping mercury, a toxin, proven to cause birth defects and brain damage in children. This includes fetuses. Arsenic and benzene will also be allowed to be dumped in US water and air. This admin said these must be allowed due to our "national emergency," and the industry companies have been given access to a portal that fast tracks government approval. I call BS. There is nothing more important than the health of US citizens, especially children. These pollutants do not go away. Instead, they become part of the food chain, killing people into the future. These pollutants will kill babies and children. The hypocrisy of saying you are pro-life, yet standing silently complicit to this heinous atrocity, is unbelievable. It must be stopped asap. I'm asking you to prevent another of the far too many tragedies of 2025.
