Public education is the backbone of our democracy and a lifeline for every child, no matter their background. Yet, Donald Trump and his billionaire allies are working to dismantle our public schools to fund massive tax breaks for themselves. If they succeed, schools will face larger class sizes, fewer teachers, and severe underfunding. Pell Grants would be eliminated, and essential programs for students with disabilities, English learners, and low-income families—along with school safety and mental health services—would be slashed. Trump and Secretary of Education Linda McMahon have even pledged to shut down the Department of Education—a move that would devastate students’ access to education and is illegal without Congressional approval. I urge you to speak out and use every tool at your disposal to stop these attacks. Public schools are the heart of our communities. Please fight for young people’s futures and choose students over billionaires. The American people are watching—stand with students, parents, teachers, and public education.
