I am writing to express my extreme disappointment at the Democratic response to Trump’s speech 3/4. It was weak, disorganized, and kind of pathetic. I expected most of you to refuse to attend or to walk out. Holding up little signs doesn't cut through the noise in today's social media dominated environment. Only Al Greene showed some spine. As far as I am concerned, you only have one last chance to use your leverage on the passage of the continuing resolution. This is a five alarm fire. You need to act to force Musk and DOGE out. You also need to insist that CISA be restored and to stop Trump and his crony broligarch buds from taking over the USPS. This last one is very important for Washington. Trump and DOGE are poised to ignore the federal courts, and with any enforcement of court orders in the hands of Blondi and Patel, they may well get away with it. The CR is the last bit of leverage you have. Use it to stop them, or the Russification of the US will be complete.
