The time for half-measures and compromise with extremists has long passed. As the budget negotiations unfold, you must recognize what is at stake: our democracy, our institutions, and the very integrity of our nation. The opposition has made it clear—they are not interested in governance but in dismantling our government from within. You must respond with unwavering resolve.
If these bad-faith actors push the government toward a shutdown, then let it shut down—but do not give an inch. No concessions, no deals, no enabling of those who seek to weaken our institutions. You must use this moment not only to hold the line but to regain the ground that has been lost. Demand the reinstatement of federal workers who have been wrongfully terminated. Fight for an immediate halt to illegal firings and purges. Reverse the policies that are deliberately designed to weaken our country. If the rank-and-file civil servants can hold the line, you had damn well better do your part.
We see what is happening. We know who is responsible. And we are watching how you respond. If you capitulate—if you cave to pressure in a misguided effort to ‘keep the government running’ while the opposition continues to hollow it out—I will personally do everything in my power to ensure you are not re-elected. That is not a threat; it is a promise. The only path forward is strength.
History will remember what you choose to do in this moment. Do not fail us.
