congress Please use your congressional powers to launch an investigation into both the use of the public chat app Signal to coordinate and send war plans and the inclusion of a journalist on the chat. The use of Signal breaks National records laws while also endangering military personnel by sharing classified military intelligence over a public app. I wonder what other classified info and behind the scenes messaging is going on with this app. Furthermore, iIncluding a journalist on the group chat highlights the sheer incompetence of leadership. we are fortunate the journalist showed restraint and integrity in not sharing the information prior to the attack. 18 U.S.C. § 793(f) makes it a federal crime to for people entrusted with information related to the national defense to, with gross negligence, disclose it to others in violation of that trust. Please exercise your congressional role of oversight. Launch an investigation. Bring in all parties involved to testify under oath and make any necessary make criminal referrals and/or removals from leadership.
