The RECOURSE Act empowers New York to withhold payments owed to the federal government if funds are improperly withheld from our state, as determined by court rulings. This legislation aims to insulate New Yorkers from unduly bearing the burden of federal budget politics. Protecting our tax dollars and services is a matter of responsible governance. I urge you to support the BRIDGE and RECOURSE Acts to bolster New York's self-determination and ability to serve its residents.
