I have two questions for you today: 1) Do you recall swearing an oath to uphold, protect and defend the Constitution? 2) Why have you abandoned that oath? Outing waste, fraud and abuse in government are very worthwhile pursuits. However, being done through an unvetted and non-existent “department” overseen only by a man who claims the authority to do so without any oversight or consent from Congress is against the law. Why do you and your Congressional colleagues abrogate your responsibility and authority? I would like specific answers, please. There is no need for form letters or boilerplate responses blaming others for any mistakes or misdeeds. Accept accountability and demand that these processes shall henceforth be carried out legally and in accordance with the tenets of the Constitution. I didn’t vote for Elon Musk and neither did anyone else. Why the world’s wealthiest man is making unilateral decisions about my future without being required to follow the law or be monitored as he takes his chainsaw to slash any federal agency or bureau scares me to death and it should terrify you as well. This concern transcends partisanship…it applies to the very essence of our Madisonian republic. Please do your job! What do we need with Congress if you don’t?
