This blatant erasure of history and critical issues from the U.S. military’s website under the guise of “anti-DEI” policies is unacceptable. Removing references to the Holocaust, 9/11 remembrance, cancer awareness, sexual assault, and suicide prevention is not just an attack on diversity initiatives—it is an attack on truth, accountability, and the well-being of service members.
The military has a duty to honor history, protect its members, and support their mental and physical health. Stripping away these acknowledgments does the opposite. It weakens military readiness, disrespects those who have sacrificed for this country, and ignores the real challenges faced by service members every day. Suicide and sexual assault remain pressing crises in the armed forces. Cancer disproportionately affects veterans exposed to hazardous conditions. The Holocaust and 9/11 are foundational events that shape national security policy and global strategy. Pretending these issues do not exist does not make them go away—it only makes leadership complicit in their perpetuation.
I demand you take immediate action to reverse this disgraceful decision. The military must stand for truth, historical remembrance, and the well-being of its members. Anything less is a betrayal of its mission and the American people.
