Our pledge of allegiance that we’ve all said since we were small children talks about “justice for all.” That means that the government officials including the Sec Def must face the same consequences for their security breach as your regular airman or enlisted soldier. This blatant mishandling of our sensitive information, including Mr. Witkoff using a vulnerable app while in Russia, makes every American less safe. Our allies will be less likely to share the intelligence we need. Our adversaries will seek to exploit sloppy information handling and redouble their hacking efforts. Termination of their positions is the first step.
