I saw you on the local news this evening, wisely addressing the fact that we need broad support from the federal government to help guide and provide support to Ohio and other states that are trying to navigate this terrible outbreak of HPAI (highly pathogenic avian influenza). As an Ohio licensed veterinarian with a B.S. in poultry science, I am appalled at the ways the Trump administration is disrupting and undermining efforts to address this. Please stand up to the incompetence! Enlist your fellow republicans to stand up for Ohio and be the voices of reason, and insist that all elected officials hold the Trump administration accountable for the havoc they continue to wreak on the health and welfare of our nation. You are in a powerful position as the leader of a state that makes large, important contributions to the economy of this nation. Please take a strong stand in the fight against HPAI, and implore the federal government to do its job and provide all necessary resources.
