The Trump administration announced plans to expand drilling in the Arctic, including in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The Interior Department stated it would begin steps to open the entire 1.56 million-acre Coastal Plain of the refuge to oil and gas exploration.doing this would harm one of the last wild places in the US, would damage endangered species, and would create a slippery slope until all preserved areas in the US are mined for resources and no one has access to the beloved national forests and parks as were established by Theodore Roosevelt. I urge you to resist this action, to stand up for one of the things that makes the US a special and magical place. No amount of money will save us when our waters are polluted, are forests are cut down, our natural landscapes are bulldozed and our natural resources are depleted.
