Congress, both Senate and House Republicans are seriously considering cutting hundreds of billions of dollars from Medicaid to fund the tax cuts proposed which overwhelmingly favor the top 10% income individuals Nurses across the country stand with the over 72 million patients who rely on Medicaid coverage. The proposed cuts to Medicaid would take away peoples’ health care and permanently harm the health of our nation. This is unacceptable and inhumane. Under Medicaid, people are healthier and have a health care safety net. In short, Medicaid saves lives and it does it at an extremely low cost to benefit ratio. I ask you to stand with nurses, and choose health care over billionaires. Protect our most vulnerable children, elderly and incapacitated patients from Medicaid cuts!
