Shame on you. You were elected to serve the people of Tennessee, yet you have chosen to betray us, blindly following a man who cares nothing for democracy, human dignity, or the Constitution. Instead of standing up for Tennesseans, you are bowing to authoritarianism, attacking our freedoms, and forcing extremist policies onto our state. Cutting school lunches while raising sales taxes? You are starving children and squeezing working families while handing tax breaks to the wealthy. Tennessee already struggles with poverty and food insecurity, yet you make life more complicated for the most vulnerable. If you genuinely valued “family,” you would invest in education, healthcare, and economic relief, not force struggling parents to do more with less. And your attack on reproductive rights is nothing but government overreach. You have made it clear that you believe women’s bodies belong to the state. Forcing victims of rape and incest to carry pregnancies, criminalizing doctors, and denying medical care is not about “life”—it’s about control. If you cared about life, you’d fund maternal healthcare, childcare, and contraception. But you don’t. You only care about forcing your ideology onto others. Your push to insert religion into government is unconstitutional. This country was not founded as a Christian nation. You were elected to serve all Tennesseans, not just those who share your faith. By legislating religious beliefs, you are ignoring the millions of people in this state who do not believe as you do. And now, you disgracefully align yourselves with a man who insults our allies and praises dictators. Your treatment of President Zelenskyy was a national embarrassment. Instead of defending democracy, you abandoned it. Instead of standing against Putin, you turned your back on Ukraine. Do you not see where this road leads? Or do you not care? You are failing Tennessee. You are turning America into an authoritarian state. And history will not forget. Remember Nuremberg. "I was just following orders" was not an excuse then, and it will not be an excuse now. You have a choice—stand for democracy or be remembered as an enabler of fascism. We see you.
