The current federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour has not increased since 2009, failing to keep pace with rising costs of living and leaving many hardworking Americans in poverty. A modest increase to $15 an hour would provide a livable wage, boost consumer spending power to stimulate the economy, and align with the majority public support for such a raise. This reasonable adjustment accounts for over a decade of wage stagnation and would greatly benefit millions of low-income workers and their families across the nation. I urge you to support legislation raising the federal minimum wage to $15 per hour to uplift the working class.
