Now that DOGE has announced plans to rewrite social security code in a matter of months with AI (as someone with decades of experience in the industry I can tell you this is impossible) and has fired a good percentage of its workforce, SSA is in extreme danger and payments are likely to become unreliable. You can already see massive outages on the website portal to the SSA at https:// downdetector. com/status/my-social-security/ (remove extra spaces for the link) DOGE must be stopped and our money that WE have invested into SSA be safeguarded. SSA is not yet another piece of government to be drained of its money and trashed beyond any ability to function. You guys need to be making a hell of a lot more noise NOW. 2026 will be too late and as mad as people are at the Republicans, I promise you that most Democrats that get primaried will lose those, too, bc people are mad that there’s so little and ineffectual response from the Democrats, especially in the leadership.
