This bill claims to promote accountability, yet it treats low-income adults like children—stripping them of the right to choose food for their families and manage their own health. It’s hypocritical to demand personal responsibility while denying people the freedom to make their own decisions. Parents, caregivers, and individuals know their needs best. They deserve the same dignity and autonomy as anyone else. Health starts with trust and access—not control. Please vote no on HF 970.
