I write to you today, outraged. Again.
This whole Hegseth debacle is not only a blemish on this administration, but a testament to how far we have fallen.
Not only did this series of text foolishly happen on the Signal app, which was previously banned for Federal use, but Hegseth, Gabbard, and others said under oath that nothing classified was leaked.
Looking at the texts… they appear to be quite classified to me.
So one of two things must have occurred. Either these individuals blatantly lied under oath or Hegseth willfully leaked US secrets and Gabbard lied.
In either case, I am tired of my country’s secrets, information, and integrity constantly being thrown around in the wind like a plastic bag. THIS IS SERIOUS.
Anyone involved in the origins of these texts should resign. Immediately. Anyone that lied under oath about it should be fired or resign. Do I have high hopes this will happen? Used to. In today’s day and age? Almost a snowball’s chance in hell.
Let the record show that I, and I’m sure many others, are rightfully demanding the resignation of these individuals who work FOR US for outright violating their oath of office. Any normal citizen would be held accountable and promptly fired.
These people are not gods. They are not untouchable. Show them the repercussions of their actions and demand their resignations now.
