Reform ICE

To: Sen. Markey, Sen. Warren, Rep. Lynch

From: A constituent in Boston, MA

March 20

Here is the story of a Canadian who was recently detained for two weeks by ICE. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/mar/19/canadian-detained-us-immigration-jasmine-mooney (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/mar/19/canadian-detained-us-immigration-jasmine-mooney) Her willingness to tell her story sheds light on all those who are not as fortunate as she was. Thousands lie in freezing cold cells in the U.S.A. with no idea when or if they will be deported or released. There is no due process, no communication, nothing. I am asking you to work to reform ICE. The fact that there is a financial incentive for contractors who provide these detention centers to detain as many people as possible for as long as possible is immoral, criminal, and certainly not worthy of the U.S.A.
