Why the urgency to disband the DoE? What are they doing that is objectionable? DoE provides supplemental funds for low-income districts. It provides funding & enforcement for education for disabled students. It provides enforcement for Title IX - equal opportunity for girls in sports. Curriculum & staffing is the sole purview of local districts, within the framework of School Code as provided by the state. I have yet to hear a cogent reason for disbanding the DoE.
