Do not cut meals to seniors
So now, in addition to killing impoverished and otherwise needy people through cuts to USAID, healthcare, research, and SNAP, Trump and Musk will be again targeting our elders by doing away with Meals on Wheels.
Meals on Wheels, with the help of an army of volunteers, provides food to the elderly and disabled and enables them, first, to live at all, but second to live independently for much longer than they would otherwise be able to do. This keeps them out of nursing homes and other facilities, which saves the government money, but it also is the right thing to do.
Naturally this means this regime wants to kill it. Don’t let them. This is an unequivocally good program like USAID and SNAP and Medicare and Social Security. We need things that help people because we are human and keeping our humanity demands that we do things for each other.
