Respect Missouri Voters: Protect Abortion Rights

To: Sen. Gregory, Rep. Zimmermann, Gov. Kehoe

From: A verified voter in Manchester, MO

April 2

The people of Missouri have already spoken on the issue of abortion rights through the passage of Amendment 3 in November 2024. This amendment enshrined reproductive rights, including the right to access abortion care, in the state constitution after a majority of voters supported it at the ballot box. Attempting to undermine or repeal these constitutionally protected rights through new legislation or ballot measures disregards the will of Missouri voters. Abortion access is a critical component of comprehensive reproductive healthcare. Decisions about pregnancy should be made by individuals in consultation with their doctors, free from government interference. Denying or restricting abortion services jeopardizes the health and wellbeing of Missourians. Rather than pursuing divisive policies that reopen this settled issue, our elected officials should respect the voices of Missouri voters and the state constitution they approved. I urge you to reject any efforts to ban abortion or impose additional barriers that would impede access to this essential healthcare service. The people have made their stance clear - protecting reproductive freedom is in the best interest of all Missourians.
