At a time when fascists and oligarchs are shredding our democracy, furiously lying every moment, to have any Democrat vote to censur one of our great representatives, Al Green, for speaking truth to dictator trump is obscene. We are very active supporters of Democrats nationally and locally. To see our representative join republicans against Mr. Green is deeply disconcerting. We are in the most dire circumstances we have ever faced and such misguided votes seem to indicate that Mr. Himes is grossly out of touch. We need more strength like that exhibited by Chris Murphy and Bernie Sanders. The republicans have gone full fascist and we are on the brink of being ruled by sociopathic oligarchs and deluded Project 2025 authors whose dystopian view of what our country and the world should look like is being hammered into place. Decorum is the least of our concerns now! To be silent is to be complicit. Mr. Himes does so much good that we can forgive this grave error this time.
