I never thought I’d see the day when American politicians, those meant to defend the constitution and will of the people, would capitulate to such an obvious and disgusting power grab at the expensive of the rights and freedoms of the he people of our country. I say “our” country, but I guess it’s not, really. You placed it up for sale and took the easiest offer, not the best offer. It was an offer that has come at a cost far greater than the penny’s you will place in your coffers. For some of us, it costs everything, immediately, but you don’t care about us. For others, like yourselves, it will cost everything later on. You see, nobody gets out of the dismantling of a democracy unscathed, not even those who oversaw and approved the transaction from their custom decorated, lavish offices in the capital of our nation. Have you forgotten your history? Has your greed and need for power blinded you to the destruction of our freedoms as Americans? It has. And that is something I hope you are truly okay with. The fall of Rome didn’t happen in a day. You are going to have to live with your decisions for a long while.
