I’m writing to ask that my Democratic representatives not work with Republicans on current budget negotiations unless there are provisions to push back on the so called “DOGE” cuts. I am a federal worker, still employed for the moment, and Congress abdicating its Article 1 duties is unprecedented and alarming. This is the only leverage you have, and Republicans will own whatever happens should a deal on the budget not pass. Please push back on this power grab and support the federal workforce for the programs and departments that have been authorized and appropriated by Congress.
