Support the consumer protection bureau

I urge you to stand up for rules that protect me from excessive bank overdraft fees, and from fraud, scams, and data breaches when I use payment apps like Venmo, Google Pay or AppleCash. These pro-consumer rules allow the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to do its job, and better protect my family’s financial security and data privacy. Please vote NO on H.J. Res 59 and 64.
These rules put real money back Americans’ pockets, and better protect us when using a payment app or digital wallet. They would end the outrageous $35 overdraft fees charged by many big banks and credit unions, who made nearly $6 billion off consumers from these fees in 2023 alone. They also would make sure the Big Tech companies that own payment apps would have to follow the same rules as banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions who handle Americans’ money – ensuring we all are treated more fairly and securely when it comes to our finances.
