Maintain funding for vital public library services

To: Gov. DeWine, Rep. Mullins, Sen. Lang

From: A constituent in Hamilton, OH

April 4

The proposed budget draft from the Ohio House poses a severe threat to public library funding, potentially crippling vital services that communities rely on. Libraries serve as essential educational and informational hubs, providing free access to books, internet, research materials, job resources, and programs for all ages. Slashing their funding would disproportionately impact low-income families, students, job seekers, and those without home internet access. Public libraries are cornerstones of an informed society. I urge you to maintain robust funding for these invaluable institutions that enrich our communities and promote lifelong learning.
