Investigate Mahmoud Khalil's Deportation Case Thoroughly, Uphold Civil Liberties

As a constituent, I find it deeply disturbing that Mahmoud Khalil has been taken into custody by ICE without due process for exercising his First Amendment right to free speech through participating in student protests at Columbia University, despite being against antisemitism and some of the views held by Mahmoud Khalil. Deporting a legal permanent resident for engaging in lawful activities protected by the Constitution would set a dangerous precedent that undermines civil liberties essential to democracy. I urge a thorough investigation to ensure Khalil's rights are safeguarded.
