H.R. 22 is unabashed attempt by the Republican Party to take the voting right away from women, despite whatever language they may cover it with in “voter security”. Requiring the electorate to all require passports will result in less voter turnout, disenfranchising many eligible voters of a right that is already theirs. Lower income voters, voters of color will all be disincentivized to support candidates when they must buy a license to cast a vote. Please oppose this bill and encourage your colleagues to oppose this bill as well.
