REJECT HCR2025

To: Rep. Nguyen, Rep. Bliss, Sen. Finchem, Gov. Hobbs

From: A constituent in Prescott, AZ

March 26

I’m writing because I’m angry about HCR2025 and what it represents. It’s clear that the goal is to make it harder for Arizona voters to have a say in our own constitution—unless, of course, it’s to undo something the majority already voted for. That’s not democracy. That’s manipulation. Arizonans just approved Prop 139 with nearly 62% of the vote. Now, suddenly, there’s a push to make future amendments require 60% to pass—while making it easier to repeal this one with a simple majority. That’s not about fairness. It’s about power. And it’s wrong. The way this is being rushed through, with little public discussion, only adds to the problem. If lawmakers actually respected the will of the people, they wouldn’t be trying to change the rules after the fact. I’m asking you to do the right thing and oppose HCR2025. Voters deserve a fair process, not a rigged one.
