Medicaid provides critical health care services for 1.6 million Massachusetts residents, including 500,000 people with disabilities and older adults. Proposed cuts to Medicaid funding would be devastating for families like the Wymans, who rely on these services to afford essential items like diapers, nutritional supplements, and in-home care for their four adopted sons with special needs. Any reduction in Medicaid coverage risks leaving the most vulnerable members of our communities without access to the support they need to live with dignity. We must protect and strengthen Medicaid to ensure all Massachusetts residents can receive quality, affordable health care regardless of their disability status.
