Fact: members of the Trump administration, including the DNI, Tulsi Gabbard, Sec'y of Defense Hegseth, VP Vance, NSA Waltz, Sec'y of State Rubio, CIA Director Ratcliffe, and others, were all on a Signal group chat - "Houthi PC small group" - discussing classified military plans before those plans were executed.
Fact: this group chat included Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. Goldberg was apparently added to the chat by NSA Waltz, and Goldberg thought it was a joke until the air strikes on Houthi positions actually took place.
Fact: Special Envoy Witkoff was in Moscow at the time, and his communications may have been compromised by the FSB.
Fact: members of the Trump administration in the group chat lied to Congress about their involvement, the significance and legality of the chat, and the use of Signal rather than secure communications. Steps were also taken to smear the reputation of Jeffrey Goldberg, which begs the question of why was he included in the first place. This is a clear violation of several laws and policies, and the disclosure of military plans on an unsecured communications channel placed American soldiers' lives in danger. The actions taken by the Trump administration to downplay or minimize the importance of these actions simply compounds the outrageous nature of what has taken place. I call on my elected representatives to (1) hold hearings into the full nature of what happened, (2) hold accountable EVERYONE involved, and (3) demand the resignation of the members of the Trump administration who placed American personnel in danger - ALL OF THEM.
