Please do everything in your power to secure the release from ICE custody of U.S. permanent resident and student activist Mahmoud Khalil. He is currently being held in ICE custody and is reportedly in a facility in Louisiana. His wife, a U.S. citizen, is 8 months pregnant. This action by the Trump administration is something I would expect from a fascist regime, not in my country. For someone supporting human rights to be treated as a terrorist is reprehensible. Please join with others in the House and Senate to immediately and publicly condemn this action. Trump has promised to do more of these seizures. If he isn’t stopped, we all will find ourselves in a dangerous place. Americans won’t stand for it, but we need your help.
