Hello, I hope you’re having a nice day. In the Texas House of Representatives, a bill — HB 3399 — has been introduced recently. This bill would completely forbid any health care provider in the state of Texas from performing a surgery that “sterilizes” a person, including hysterectomy, oophorectomy, and orchiectomy, all of which are used to treat potentially life-threatening cancers. This bill would needlessly endanger and kill hundreds, if not thousands, of Texans across the state. To let this bill pass would be to doom the lives of your constituents to preventable disease.
