H.R.961 - Veterans Access to Direct Primary Care Act

To: Sen. McConnell, Sen. Paul, Rep. Guthrie

From: A constituent in Fisherville, KY

March 19

As a VA pain provider, it would be a detriment to allow this to pass. My husband is a Veteran. The care Veterans receive at VA far surpasses the private practice for pain management. I spend a ton of time reversing opioid addictions/tolerances and pain pumps because our VA had no pain management up until 3 years ago. We know that KY has suffered from the opioid crisis. At VA, patients are able to get great care and pain relief without adding more problems to their lives. I can only imagine that allowing this will end in more deaths related to opioids and other bad care in the private sector. Leaving an already vulnerable population even more vulnerable.
