Rectify unjust migrant deportation policies upholding human rights

To: Rep. Frost, Sen. Moody, Sen. Scott

From: A constituent in Orlando, FL

March 24

The heartless deportation of a Venezuelan migrant with no criminal record to the dire conditions of an El Salvadoran prison is a gross injustice that violates the core tenets of human rights and due process. Subjecting migrants to potential mistreatment, abuse, and endangerment based solely on their immigration status is an abhorrent act that erodes our shared values of dignity and fair treatment for all people. As a society, we cannot turn a blind eye to such inhumane cruelties inflicted upon the vulnerable. We must appeal to our collective conscience and sense of humanity to urgently address and rectify these unjust policies that recklessly imperil innocent lives. Safeguarding the wellbeing and upholding the inherent rights of every individual, irrespective of national origin, is a moral imperative we cannot forsake.
